Here is just a bunch of links to other sites that I like or that may interest you. There is lots of cool stuff out there, so I'm sure there will be something you will like.

Cool Stuff

  • Badassbuddy - Cool buddy icons.
  • Price Watch - If you shop on the net for anything electronic related, you must go here. Especially if you are buying computer parts, maintains lists of prices to various dealers.
  • SoftshapeArt - A really cool art site with tons of really impressive looking desktop backgrounds.
  • ThemeXP - Free styles and images to change the look and layout of Windows XP.
  • Webshots - Cool program that allows you to have your background on your desktop automatically change at set time intervals, then turns all your backgrounds into a screensaver.

  • JAS Enterprises - This is my friend Jeremys site, hes a dork, but you can check out his work in progress.
  • Stevens Gamers - This is the location of my friend Josh's site pertaining to all gaming on Stevens Campus.

Games

  • Blizzard Entertainment - The home of one of the greatest game developers in the world, every game they've created has been a hit, check them out.
  • Counter-Strike.net - The official Counter-Strike web site. Go here for updates and info on anything pertaining to this incredibly addictive game.
  • FreeArcade.com - Lots of free online, arcade style games. New ones keep getting added and it can become very addictive without you realizing it. I recommend trying Bounce Out.
  • GameSpot - Cool site with lots of reviews on new releases and more. News stories related to the gaming world and lots of cheats and hints.
  • Pogo - Free online games to collect tokens and win money, lots of fun things to keep you busy.
  • Square Enix U.S.A. - My favorite developers because they created Final Fantasy, the best RPG series ever. They've also made a lot of other cool other games, check them out. Now they've combined with Enix to produce some even greater games.
  • TEQ - A cool online gaming site, mostly a statistical based warfare game, however it is a lot of fun, anyone who likes to compete online, check this out.

Graphics

  • 3D Buzz - Free tutorials and images for various 3D products, some very impressive work, helped me learn a lot.
  • 3D Millennium - 3D Textures, models,tutorials and lots of other free stuff.
  • 3D Total - More great tutorials and 3D images, it is amazing what you can do with a computer these days.
  • Learning-Maya - More great tutorials, mostly specific to Maya software, but several topics are more general 3D in nature, very helpful.
  • Spoono - Awesome graphics editing tutorials, some great Photoshop ones, plenty of different topics with step by step detail, very easy to learn.

My Other Sites

  • Acklar Productions - My more professional looking site where I distribute my games as well as information about upcoming ones.
  • Acklar's Bulletin Board - I'm testing out my new forum, stop by and try it out and leave some words of wisdom.
  • CSCampers - This is my site based on Counter Strike Campers. Essentially all those people that hide in the corners of the levels that drive you insane, well I have screenshots of tons of them and expose them for who they really are!
  • The Cookie Jar - This site is old! I made it back in high school when I was first doing a lot of stuff online. It has a bunch of cool little programs I made, but nothing too fancy, and some don't even work anymore. Eh, still memories, right?

Programming

  • GameTutorials - Another great site for programming tutorials, all geared towards the development of games. Great since it covers some basic concepts, all the way up to some fairly advanced model loading.
  • HotWired - I mostly focus in their Webmonkey section, as it deals with web development. If you are interested in learning Javascript or CGI or PHP or anything, this is a great place to start. Also has lots of information on basic html, css and dhtml.
  • NeHe Productions - OpenGL tutorials that are great. I love this site, I check it regularly cause it has everything I need to know about programming in OpenGL, and if it doesn't, it links to message boards and other sites that do. If you learn by example, this site is for you.

Stores

  • Buy.com - If you haven't heard of them, then crawl out from under that rock and check them out, tons of stuff, lots of free shipping, great prices too.
  • Circuit City - Circuit City's web site, great to find additional deals, read product reviews, or just check on what's in stock or on sale.
  • Crucial - Need RAM for your computer? You go to Crucial, enough said.
  • NewEgg.com - A great online retailer for various computer components, when I'm building a new computer or shopping for new parts, this is the place I go first.

Tech Stuff

  • Ars Technica - Contains daily news collected from various news sources, as well as those written by the site's authors. Also contains a forum that discusses various computer topics.
  • CNET - Geat site with tons of reviews on hardware and software. Check out the latest prices on products, top five lists for all types of electronics, buyer's guides and more.
  • Digital Photograph Review - Reviews and buyer's guides to digital cameras, great site with very, very detailed reviews on the products.
  • Geek.com - If you are a geek, you need to go here. No really, it has a lot of cool reviews on products, news stories and more. Also has specific info on new computer chips and PDAs. And yes, for those of you who like Macs... dare I say it, they have a section for you too.
  • Overclockers.com - Dedicated to overclocking your computer, with many articles and forums to help you learn all about overclocking.
  • Sharky Extreme - Reviews on hardware, software, games and more. Lots of guides to buying hardware and even to buying whole computers. Weekly CPU and RAM prices.
  • Tom's Hardware Guide - Great reviews on new and upcoming computer products and other various electronics.
  • ZDNet - Very similar to CNET, has lots of good reviews on hardware and software, a great place to go if you want more info on products you're looking to buy.
